Prime Minister Narendra Modi, according to Ruchira Kamboj,

"homemakers," but also people who build nations.
PM Modi Believes Women Are Not Only Homemakers But But Nation-Builders: India's UN Ambassador
On International Women's Day, Ruchira Kamboj, India's
permanent representative to the UN, gave a stirring speech emphasizing the
Prime Minister of India's steadfast dedication to women's empowerment.
According to Kamboj, the honorable Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi,
thinks that women are not only good at taking care of the family but also
building the country. The declaration was delivered in a video message
broadcast on Monday.
Kamboj's statement was given as the ten-day 67th session
of the UN Commission on the Status of Women got underway at the UN's
headquarters. She pointed out that India is shifting from a model of women's
development to one of women-led development, which is precisely in line with
the commission's key subject.
According to the UN delegate, India is using contemporary
technology for the benefit of women and girls as a result of the Indian Prime
Minister's vision. She said that the G-20's focus during India's leadership is
on women-led development. If we want to be prepared for the future, Kamboj
highlighted that women must be at the centre of the conversation and the
decision-making process.
The Ministry of Women and Child Development's G20
Empowerment and Progression of Women's Economic Representation (EMPOWER)
committee convened in February of this year. Women's rights and empowerment
were the main topics of conversation. The three areas of concentration for
India's G20 presidency, according to Union Minister Smriti Irani, are women's
entrepreneurship, partnerships to advance women in leadership and education as
the foundation for women's empowerment and parity in the workforce.
While discussing India's G20 leadership in Indonesia, PM
Modi stressed that the member nations must spread the positive effects of
growth to all people with kindness and solidarity. He continued by saying that
without women, the world could not grow. The G-20 agenda should continue to
prioritize women-led development, PM Modi said, because both peace and security
are necessary for both economic growth and technological advancement.
Kamboj emphasized that gender equality must become a
reality and asked everyone to do everything in their power to make it so. A
bird cannot fly on only one wing, as the famous Indian philosopher and scholar
Swami Vivekananda once stated. India is steadfast in its commitment to
advancing gender equality and women's empowerment, and with the help of the
international community, it will continue to be a pioneer in doing so.
