Political Events in Comparison: Modi's Victory and Rahul's Anxiety
India First: Narendra Modi's win and Rahul Gandhi's Cambridge annoyances
In
his lecture at Cambridge University, Rahul Gandhi emphasized his despair and
dissatisfaction at not being able to do more to topple the Modi government.
Recent political developments in India included Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's speech at Cambridge University and Prime Minister Narendra Modi's victory rally following the party's victories in Tripura, Nagaland, and Meghalaya.
Gandhi lamented his inability to topple the Modi
administration as Modi welcomed the triumph of his party.
Gandhi's claims that he was being watched via Pegasus have
been refuted, and it has been questioned as to why he did not have his phone
tested if he was certain. Nothing was discovered by the committee chosen by the
Supreme Court to support the use of Pegasus. Although the committee claimed
that the government was uncooperative, the administration insisted that no
improper spying had taken place. Gandhi's remarks revealed that he trusted
hearsay over actual information.
Gandhi also claimed that minorities were dangerous in
India, which is untrue. The Minority Affairs Ministry said that 31% of the
residences constructed under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were distributed in
25 minority-dominated districts, supporting records that demonstrate minorities
have profited more from government programs. In addition, 33% of Pradhan
Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi beneficiaries and 37% of the nine crores Pradhan
Mantri Ujjwala Yojana recipients were from minority populations.
Such claims are politically driven, malicious, founded on
false information, and only serve to support anti-Indian forces. While the
entire world views India as an island of hope in terms of economic recovery and
the adoption of good governance practices, such utterances simply tarnish the
administration's reputation. The Modi government is a representation of India
as it is now.
Modi, on the other hand, was constantly positive about the
party, the nation, and the people in general. The BJP's triumph in the three states
demonstrates that the new formula embodied in the notion of Triveni—which
increases the party's power by 1+1+1, or 111 times—is the key to the party's
success. These three areas are the work of BJP governments, their moral
character, and the willingness to lend a hand to BJP members.
Gandhi should reflect on how frequently he or a member of
the Gandhi family traveled to the Northeast to connect with citizens, even
during the campaign. Modi made 44 trips to the Northeast between 2017 and 2022,
and the region's terrain is evolving in line with development indices.
The recent triumph is proof that people get invested in
the continuation of the administration when efforts are made to offer answers,
a phenomenon known as pro-incumbency. Indian politics is developing, and those
who put forth the most effort to fulfill the needs of the populace will prevail.
Political gains cannot be achieved by hateful criticism or political bluster.
